SPACE SYNCHRONY DRILL

The Space Synchrony Drill is rooted in the work of Les Fehmi, Tarthang Tulku, Stephen Wolinski, Milton Erickson, and Ernest Rossi. The process is based on the notion that viewing open areas and open spaces will bring about brain synchrony and strong altered states of consciousness. Brain synchrony produces healing states, creative states, and the transformation of targets.

The directions for the Space Synchrony Drills:

You may want to do the SSD experience with an audio recorder or have a friend guide you through it. Find a comfortable chair or recliner and allow yourself to sink into it. Can you wriggle around a bit and get more comfortable? You may let your eyes gently close before you comfortably pinch your right nostril shut. After you take some 20 very deep and long inhalations and exhalations through your left nostril, you can remove your fingers and let go and relax for a few moments while your mind wanders and wonders.

Take your time in experiencing each of the upcoming images. 10 to 15 seconds is fine. This is no hurry or perfect way of doing this. Soon your creating space will become even easier.

Can you now gently allow your attention to hear these questions? Letting go of answering yes or no to the following questions, can you now permit yourself to experience them in your own unique way?

If your eyes are not yet comfortably closed, can you allow them to close for the duration of these questions?

If you would enjoy continuing this exercise you may examine space in spheres, squares, circles, or any shapes and keep expanding them out. However if you would like to stop, gently open your eyes and stretch while you reorient yourself to your surroundings.

This exercise can be used for clearing feelings, beliefs, and physical sensations. Simply bring whatever you would target into your consciousness when consciousness and space are no longer distinguishable.

After you get the spirit of space viewing, you may simply view spaces of your own making.
Just keep creating spaces and expanding them. An open or space perspective will create synchrony if done for several minutes.
